2023 Drivers

Alex Albon

After bouncing between the two Red Bull teams during his first 2 seasons in the sport, Alex eventually ended up without a seat. Now, after a year on the sidelines, he is making the most of the 'second chance' awarded to him by Williams Racing.

Carlos Sainz

Despite his young age, Carlos is a seasoned Formula 1 driver having driven for 4 different teams already . His current position at Ferrari is allowing him to put up a fight at the top of the pack to try and bring the team back to its former glory.

Charles Leclerc

Ferrari's young superstar was recruited to replace former Champion Kimi Raikkonen in the hopes that he could bring the team back to the top of the Grid. He is currently attempting to dethrone reigning champion Max Verstappen alongside his current teammate, Carlos Sainz.

Esteban Ocon

Esteban is known for working tirelessly through a lack of funding and opportunity to eventually end up in a Formula 1 seat. Having lost his seat at Racing Point under new management, he was given another chance by the newly named Alpine F1 team where he now makes half of an all French lineup alongside Pierre Gasly.

Fernando Alonso

Highly regarded as one of the greatest to compete in the sport, Fernando has 2 Championships to his name alongside a host of impressive stats. He returned to the sport after a 2-year sabbatical, spending 2 seasons at Alpine before moving across to Aston Martin for the 2023 season where he now fills the vacant seat left by Sebastian Vettel's retirement.

George Russell

Regarded as the young and upcoming Brit with the skills to challenge seasoned veteran Lewis Hamilton, George made a name for himself as the king of Qualifying during his time at Williams before being promoted to the works Mercedes team alongside the 7-time World Champion for the 2022 season.

Kevin Magnussen

Son of 4-times Le Mans winner and former F1 driver Jan Magnussen, Kevin is one of the more experienced drivers on the grid having debuted with McLaren in 2014. He returned to the sport with Haas to replace Nikita Mazepin after a year out competing in IndyCar.

Lance Stroll

Another member of the younger crop of drivers who rose through the ranks together, Lance made his F1 debut with Williams before moving to Racing Point under his Father's new management. The team subsequently rebranded as Aston Martin where Lance races alongside former Champion Fernando Alonso.

Lando Norris

Since his debut with McLaren in 2018, Lando has quickly become one of the most popular drivers on the grid through both his social media presence and outstanding drives. He has been a pivotal figure in putting the team back up into the top half of the grid and recovering hope of a return to the famed glory days.

Lewis Hamilton

Most fans of the sport label him as the 'Greatest Driver of All Time' due to his unrivalled successes and joint record for the most World Championships won alongside Michael Schumacher. Lewis has broken almost every record in the book and continues seeking the greatest record of all with an 8th World title.

Logan Sargeant

One of three rookies in the 2023 grid, Logan Sargeant is the first American to claim an F1 seat in 8 years. He joins Alex Albon at Williams, having been promoted following two successful campaigns in F2.

Max Verstappen

The young dutch driver is known as the first to dethrone 7-time World Champion Lewis Hamilton when he won the 2021 title after an epic, yet somewhat controversial, season-long battle. With 2 Championships under his belt, and a dominant Red Bull beneath him, it seems he may have a few more in his sights..

Nico Hulkenberg

Nico Hulkenberg has a long history in Formula 1 as Haas becomes his 7th team to have driven for. After 3 years without a permanent race seat, his sporadic stand-in performances finally earned him a spot replacing Mick Schumacher at the American team for 2023.

Nyck De Vries

The dutchman made a name for himself in the 2022 season after an impressive performance standing in for Alex Albon at Williams and achieving points on his debut. He has perviously served as reserve driver for Mercedes and holds Championship titles in F2 and Formula E. As such he has been called up to Alpha Tauri to replace Pierre Gasly for 2023.

Oscar Piastri

Piastri has an impressive track record in the junior series having won Formula Renault, F3 and F2 one after the other on his first attempts at each. He acted as reserve driver for Alpine in 2022 and controversially left them for McLaren for 2023, instigating a raft of headlines and threatened legal action. All was resolved and the Australian now lines up alongside Lando Norris at the British team.

Pierre Gasly

Having been brought up through the Red Bull junior programme, Gasly was set for a drive with the top team. However a string of tough results left him demoted back to their sister team, now named Alpha Tauri, where he subsequently flourished and even achieved his first ever race win. In 2023, he moves across to Alpine, joining Esteban Ocon with whom he has raced alongside since his karting days.

Sergio Perez

Sergio has one of the longest F1 campaigns of all of the current drivers having competed with 5 different teams across 11 years. He earned the record of the most races entered before achieving a race win when he finished on top of a chaotic battle at the 2021 Sakhir Grand Prix and made such an impression that he was entrusted with a seat alongside rising star Max Verstappen for the following season.

Valtteri Bottas

Valtteri built up a highly impressive resume alongside Lewis Hamilton during Mercedes era of complete domination and cemented himself as a proven race winner. Nevertheless, having outlasted his time as second-driver to the Champion, in 2022 he moved over to the struggling Alfa Romeo team where he has outperformed the expectations of many critics and continues to put himself in point scoring positions.

Yuki Tsunoda

In 2023, Yuki heads into his third season with Red Bull sister team, Alpha Tauri. He is known for his hot-headed approach to racing and has been a key contributor among the midfield battles thus far. He has big shoes to fill with Pierre Gasly departing the team, leaving Yuki as head driver alongside rookie Nyck De Vries .

Zhou Guanyu

Zhou quickly impressed in his rookie season last year with multiple point scoring positions and his ability to keep up with veteran teammate Valtteri Bottas. He was the core victim in a large crash at the start of the 2022 British Grand Prix in which his car was overturned and sent tumbling up and over the track barriers, further validating the life-saving properties of the controversial Halo.
